No reformatting. Columns like "First name", "Last name", "Mail" or "Team" are recognised. Problems are shown with their row number, and no row disappears silently.

The dashboard shows who is invited, who opened their link and who has already revealed their match. Who gives to whom stays secret, even from you.

Secret Santa runs on trust. That is why nobody here knows more than they need to.
- Real randomness
- The draw runs on the server with cryptographic randomness. Without extra rules, every valid assignment is equally likely.
- Rules are never relaxed
- If your rules make a draw impossible, we tell you exactly why instead of quietly ignoring a rule.
- Stored encrypted
- Who gives to whom is stored encrypted in the database. Emails never contain a name, only the personal link.
- Not even the organiser sees the pairs
- As the organiser you only see who has revealed. Each person sees their own match and nothing else, and if a lot is opened somewhere else, its owner sees that.
- Data gets deleted
- 90 days after the exchange we delete the event automatically. Participants can leave on their own.
- No tracking
- No ad cookies, no third-party analytics, our own mail server.
Questions
Does WichtelCircle cost anything?
No. Creating an event, drawing and handing out links is free.
Does everyone need an email address?
No. For people without email you copy the personal link, export all links as an Excel file or print slips with QR codes.
Can I take part as the organiser?
Yes. The dashboard never shows pairs, only the status. You reveal your own match through your personal link like everybody else.
What if someone drops out?
Before the draw you simply remove them. After the draw you undo it and draw again. Everyone can get a short email about it.
Which files can I upload?
Excel (.xlsx, .xls) and CSV, up to 2 MB and 2000 rows. The file is only read and never stored.
What if my rules do not work out?
For example when one department makes up more than half of all participants and nobody may draw within their own department. We show you who is affected and you decide which rule to relax.
How long is the data kept?
Until 90 days after the exchange. Then the event is deleted automatically. You can delete it yourself at any time before that.
